There are assembly elections on 1 October due to which banks in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed. Whereas, on October 2, banks will remain closed across the country on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Shardiya Navratri will begin on October 3, so banks will remain closed in Rajasthan on this day. 6, 10 to 11 October. 6 October is Sunday, so banks across the country will remain closed every week. Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Kohima, and Kolkata on October 10 due to Maha Saptami. Banks will remain closed in many cities including Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, and Ranchi on October 11 due to Mahanavami. 12, 13, 14, and 16 October. Banks across the country will remain closed on October 12 due to Ayudha Puja, Dussehra, and second Saturday. Banks across the country will remain closed on October 13 due to the Sunday holiday. Banks in Gangtok will remain closed on October 14 on the occasion of Durga Puja (Dasin). Banks in Kolkata and Agartala will remain closed on October 16 due to Lakshmi Puja. 17 and 20 October. 17 October 2024, banks will remain closed in Assam on the occasion of Kati Bihu and the same day due to Pragat Divas i.e. Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, banks in Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Shimla will remain closed.
On 20 October 2024, banks across the country will remain closed on Sunday.
26, 27 and 31 October
On 26 October, banks will remain closed across the country due to the fourth Saturday of the month and in Jammu and Kashmir due to Pariksha Divas.
On 27 October, banks will remain closed due to Sunday's weekly holiday.
On 31 October 2024, Narak Chaturdashi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday is there, so all banks across the country will remain closed on this day.
