Repeatedly joking, taunting, or using wrong analogies has a deep impact on children. Many children start living in fear. Children grow up learning the philosophies of life from their parents. Before stepping into the outside world, they receive their first education at home. In such a situation, if they get some wrong lesson from their parents, then it gets stuck in their minds for their whole life. Many parents say such things to their children that they develop a similar perception or view of the world. Parents often make fun of their children regarding their behavior, lifestyle, and eating habits, and these things also get incorporated into the child's behavior. Therefore, parents must avoid making mistakes even unknowingly, because it has a deep impact on children.
Cries like girls
Often we have heard that a mother asks her son when he cries, why are you crying like a girl? One should avoid saying this.
Drinking tea will darken the complexion
We always hear that mothers stop their children from drinking tea. Especially regarding the complexion of girls, it is said that drinking tea will make the complexion dark and drinking milk will make it fair. By not telling the girls about the healthy benefits of milk or tea, we put a concept of apartheid in their minds, which grows up with them. There is no proof that drinking or not drinking tea makes you black or white.
Ears turned red like peppers
You must have heard this from many parents. When the child gets angry, the mother says that your ears have become red like chilies. Meaning, you are equating anger with chili. It may sound literary, but it has a bad effect on children.
Comment on body image
Parents constantly criticize their child's eating habits and comment on their body shape. Due to this habit of yours, the child may feel insecure about his looks. He will always be scared. Therefore, no matter what the children are like, never comment on their body image.
Don't talk by analogy
Parents have a habit of explaining their children's actions, habits, and eating habits through analogies. They think that they are saying this to children jokingly, but these things have a deep impact on the personality of children and weaken their self-confidence. They start to feel that they are like this because their parents think of them as such.
The feeling of inferiority due to taunting
Family relationship counselor Usha Maheshwari says, if you want to improve your children by curbing their bad habits, then pay attention to your method. Explain to children using love and positive words. Give them examples of positive people who have been successful in life. Don't compare them with any other child. Apart from this, never talk to children sarcastically. This creates an inferiority complex in them. If you do this then children will look at others in the same way and will lose self-confidence.
