AI Ogler App: Till now you used to go to the doctor for a checkup due to eye pain, irritation or complaints related to vision, but now your work is going to be easier. Now sitting at home, you can detect eye diseases by scanning through the app. We are saying this because an 11-year-old Indian girl student in Dubai has developed an AI-based app. In which eye diseases can be detected through scanning. The name of the student who made this app is Leena Rafiq. She is originally from Kerala.
These diseases can be detected
Leena has shared information about an app called Ogler Scan on LinkedIn. Leena claims that with the help of this app, eye diseases such as melanoma, cataract, and plutonium can be used to detect diseases.
How the app works
Using advanced computer vision, and machine learning algorithms, Augler examines the eyes by analyzing parameters such as light, distance, and colours. The ogler also detects whether the eyes are correctly fitted in the scanner frame or not. After seeing the scan quality, this AI application checks eye diseases using a trend model. Regarding the accuracy of Ogler, Rafiq has claimed about 70 per cent accuracy. Leena says that it took her 6 months to learn and understand computer vision, algorithms, machine learning models, eye positioning and advanced-level app development of Apple iOS. Currently, Leena is working on making this app even better. Giving information, Leena said that her app is currently under review on the App Store and she hopes to get it listed soon.
