Many types of beneficial and welfare schemes run in the country. Some of these schemes are run by the state governments, while some schemes are run by the central government. Every year a huge amount is spent on these schemes so that benefits can reach every needy. In this series, there is a scheme called Ayushman Bharat Yojana, under which eligible people are given free treatment by making Ayushman cards. At present, a large number of people are associated with this scheme and if you also want to take advantage of this scheme, then eligible people can apply, the method of which you can know in the next slides. Before knowing the application process, know the eligibility:-
The eligibility for making Ayushman card has been decided by the government, only those people who are included in this eligibility list can take benefits by joining this scheme. This includes those people...
People who work as daily wage laborers
Are destitute, tribal, or transgender
If there is a disabled member in the family

If you live in a rural area
If you come from a Scheduled Caste or Tribe
If you have a mud house
People who are landless etc.

Eligible people should apply like this:-
Step 1

If you are eligible for Ayushman Yojana and want to apply, you will have to go to the nearest Jan Seva Kendra.
You have to go here and meet the concerned officer
Then you have to provide your documents like an Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Residence Certificate, and a mobile number.

Step 2
After this, your documents are verified
Your eligibility is also checked
Once verified, your application is submitted.
Then after making an Ayushman card, you can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the listed hospitals.
