Know these rules before canceling your ticket:-
Vetting and RAC
If you have booked waiting tickets in Indian trains or RAC and now you are canceling these tickets for some reason, then you have to pay the cancellation charge. If you cancel this ticket 30 minutes before the departure of the train from the station, then you have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 60.
On tatkal ticket
Many times, people are not able to get the first ticket on many routes or sometimes have to go somewhere suddenly, in such a situation, they have to get the train ticket immediately. But if you cancel this ticket, you do not get any refund.
Confirmed ticket

A full refund is given if the train is canceled in case of a flood. All you have to do is cancel your ticket within three days of travel.
If canceled before 12 hours of train departure, 25% of the ticket price will be deducted.
If you cancel the ticket 12 to 4 hours before the train leaves the station, then this charge becomes 50 percent of the ticket price.
