A large number of people travel by Indian trains every day. Some travel in sleeper class, some in AC, and some in general bogie. If you have to travel by train, then there are many routes where you have to book several months in advance because a lot of people travel by train on these routes. For- many vehicles of Bihar and trains going to many cities of UP etc. If you travel in an AC coach of the train, you will get a lot of relief in the summer season. But have you ever thought that if AC coaches do not work in winter, then why do Indian Railways charge the passengers for AC? Probably not, so let's try to know the answer to this question. You can know about this in the next slides...

There are many AC coaches in Indian trains. These include First AC, Second AC, Third AC, Chair Car, etc. All these coaches have AC and the Railways also charge the passengers for AC in their tickets.

At the same time, in summer, AC works in the train, so it makes sense to take the railway charge. But what about winter? Here you have to understand the way AC is used to cool the AC coach of the train during the summer season. Similarly, Railways also uses AC to keep the coaches warm in winter.

You can also understand it in this way that when the outside temperature is between 10 to 12 degrees in winter, then in such a situation the temperature of the AC coach of the train is kept between 16 to 22 degrees by the Indian Railways.

How hot is the coach?
Just as the AC is run in summer, the heater installed in the AC is run to keep the coach warm in winter. Not only this, but the work of supplying hot air to the entire coach is also done by running the blower, and the passengers are charged for the same.
