Do not take it lightly
If your Aadhaar card is lost somewhere, do not take it lightly even by mistake. This is because if your Aadhaar goes into the wrong hands, it can be misused.

What to do?
If your Aadhaar card is lost, you can file an FIR for the same. At the same time, you should go to your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra, and meet the concerned officer to inform him about the missing card. After this, you can also get your new Aadhaar card made.

You can do as the concerned officer tells you. At the same time, to get a new Aadhaar card (new means a second copy of the old card), you need some documents from which you are identified. You can provide any of your ID and address proof. Also, you have biometric authentication.

When biometrics is done, then after that you also have to pay some fees. Only after this, you get the Aadhaar card. If you want, you can also get your mobile number and email ID updated.
