In this, every month an amount is deducted from your salary and deposited, after which you get many types of facilities. EPFO also gives annual interest to the PF account holder. Amidst all this, do you know that you are required to add a nominee to your PF account? Probably not, so know here because if you do not do this, many problems may arise in the future. Why is it important to make a nominee?
If you do not add a nominee to your PF account, then the biggest problem will be that if for some reason the account holder is no more, then his family members will not be able to withdraw money from his PF account.
Apart from this, the account holder may also have to face many other problems.
Method of adding nominee:-
Step 1
If you have not yet added any nominee to your PF account, then to add it you have to first go to the official portal of EPFO unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface.
Here you have to log in by entering your UAN number, password, and captcha code.
Step 2
After this, go to the 'Manage' option and click on the 'E-Nomination' option here.
Then go to the tab 'Provided Details' and click on 'Save'
Now you have to click on 'Yes' to update the family declaration.
Note here that you can also add more than one nominee by clicking on 'Add Family Details'
Step 3
Now click on 'Nomination Details' and then click on 'Save EPF Nomination' and select the 'e-Sign' option.
After this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number, enter it.
Finally, after clicking on submit, the process of adding the nominee is completed.
