Navratri 2023 Kanya Pujan: Girls are worshipped on Ashtami, Navami of Chaitra Navratri. Only after this do they observe the fast. Keep some special things in mind while worshipping the girl, otherwise the 9 day fast will be in vain.
Ashtami of Chaitra Navratri is on 29 March 2023 and Mahanavami is on 30 March 2023. According to belief, people worship girls on both these days. It is said that Navratri fast and worship are incomplete without worshipping the girl child.
Invite only girls up to 2-10 years of age to Kanya Pujan. The number of girls should be at least 9 for worship. Invite even a child for food. Worship of a girl child is considered incomplete without Batuk because worship of Batuk i.e. Bhairav along with Maa Durga is mandatory.
These girls are considered as the form of Maa Durga. In such a situation, do not scold them even by mistake. Don't speak bad words. Don't discriminate against girls. Those who do this do not get the fruit of the fast. Do not force them to eat food, serve as much as he can eat on the plate
Invite the girls a day before. Wash their feet on coming home. Face the east direction and do tika with turmeric and kumkum. Wear red chunri. Now sit on the seat for food.
Do not mix the food before feeding the girls. Keep in mind that food should be pure. Do not use garlic, or onion in it. Feed pudding, puri, kheer, and vegetables made for prasad to all the girls in the meal.
Give daan (dakshina) to the girls after the meal, such as fruits, makeup materials, sweets, coconut etc. Take the blessings of all these girls and then break the fast.
