Myth- Can Tulsi be used directly on the skin?
Fact- No, Tulsi is undoubtedly antibacterial and antifungal, but along with this, Tulsi contains mercury, which can irritate the skin and cause rashes in the skin. That's why Tulsi should always be mixed with rose water, aloe vera gel or any other thing.
Myth- Tulsi removes the spots present in the skin.
Fact- Linoleic acid present in Tulsi is anti-inflammatory and reduces any kind of inflammation in the skin. If you are having pimples, pimples or acne on your skin, you can take a bath with basil water, but it only reduces inflammation on the skin and does not reduce any spots.
Myth- Should Tulsi be used to treat infected skin?
Fact- The antioxidants present in Tulsi indeed protect the skin from getting infected, but if the skin is already infected then you should never apply Tulsi on it. Because you will always need medicines to cure infected skin. Whereas to protect the skin from infection beforehand, you should use basil water or paste.
Myth- Using Tulsi makes the skin glow.
Fact- It is a myth that Tulsi makes the skin shiny. However, Tulsi has the properties of purifying the skin and if there is any damage to the skin due to the dirt hidden in your skin pores, then regular use of Tulsi will save the skin from that damage.
Myth- Tulsi is anti-ageing?
Fact- Many antioxidants are found in Tulsi, but it is helpful in neither increasing nor reducing the production of collagen which keeps the skin youthful. In such a situation, Tulsi cannot be called antiaging. Yes, it tightens the skin a little if you mix it with something that boosts collagen.
Note- Do not use Tulsi on the skin without the skin expert's advice and skin patch test.
