The drops of rain give a lot of relief to the heart and mind because when the monsoon comes after the scorching heat, humidity, and scorching sun, it gives a feeling of relief. The rainy season is liked by many people because it brings down the temperature and the atmosphere becomes pleasant, but rain brings with it many diseases and infections. That's why we should take special care of our health during this period, especially since it is important to choose food and drink carefully. India's famous nutrition expert 'Nikhil Vats' told ZEE NEWS what are the things that should not be consumed in monsoon.
Keep your distance from these foods in the rainy season
1. Non-Veg Foods
In Sanatan Dharma, eating non-veg foods is forbidden in the month of Sawan, but there is a scientific reason behind this, in fact, the risk of fungal infection, mildew and early rotting of meat increases during the rainy season, because due to the lack of direct sunlight, germs multiply rapidly.
2. Green Leafy Vegetables
Green leafy vegetables should be avoided especially during monsoon, no matter how many nutrients they contain. During the rainy season, the moisture increases slightly, which helps in the growth of germs, they also attack the leafy vegetables and do not leave them edible.
3. Curd
Curd is very beneficial for our health, because through it digestion can be kept healthy, but it should not be eaten during the rainy season because it is a cold thing, so eating curd can cause a cold and sore throat.
4. Milk
During the rainy season, the number of insects increases considerably, and due to this the mosquitoes of dengue-chikungunya start increasing, due to which even the milking cattle fall ill, therefore there is a risk of diseases by drinking the milk of these animals.
