The Central Government is starting the tracking system on 17th May. With this system, mobile owners across the country will be able to block their stolen mobiles, lost mobiles. Technology development body Center for Development of Telematics (CDOT) will install the central device on a pilot basis in some telecom circles. This system is called CEIR. This experiment will be done in Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and North East region.

The CIIR system is starting from May 17 in some places across the country. Rajkumar Upadhyay, chief executive officer and chairman of CEDAC, did not give any official information about the exact date. He said the system is ready. CIDAC has modified the previous system for mobile phone detection and added some special features.
