Social media firm Facebook and Instagram's parent company Meta has introduced its new AI tool AudioCraft. This tool has been introduced as an open-source AI tool. The company says that with the help of this tool, audio and music can be created only with the help of text prompts.

How does AudioCraft work?
Meta said the AI tool is bundled with three models, AudioGen, Encodec and MusicGen, and works for Music, Sound, Compression, Generation. Giving information, the company has said that MusicGen has been trained using company's proprietary and specially licensed music.

The company said in its blog post that MusicGen generates music from text prompts, while AudioGen generates audio from text prompts. Meta has also released an improved version of its Encode Decoder. This helps produce high quality music with fewer artifacts. Pre-trained AudioGen models help users generate environmental sounds and sound effects. It can also generate sounds like dog barking or sirens from vehicles.

The company said that the Audiocraft model will serve as a tool for musicians and sound designers in the future. The company is also working towards improving existing models and adding improvements based on user feedback. While artists and industry experts have raised concerns over copyright infringement, as machine learning software works to identify and copy patterns from data scraped from the web.
