The last lunar eclipse of this year (Lunar Eclipse 2023) will take place in the month of October. It is very important from a religious and scientific point of view. The first lunar eclipse of the year occurred on May 5, on the day of Vaishakh Purnima. This eclipse was seen in many parts of the world but it was not seen in India. Date and Time of Lunar Eclipse
The last lunar eclipse of the year will be visible across India on the midnight of Ashwin Purnima i.e. 28th and 29th October. The lunar eclipse will start at 1:05 p.m. and will last till 2:24 a.m. This lunar eclipse will be visible in all the cities of India.
Sutak period of lunar eclipse:
The sutak period of lunar eclipse starts 9 hours before. No auspicious work or worship is performed during Sutak. The Sutak of midnight lunar eclipse of 28th October will start from 4.05 pm on 28th October.
Where will the lunar eclipse be seen?
The lunar eclipse will be seen in many countries other than India. This lunar eclipse will be visible in Australia, the entire Asia, Europe, Africa, Southeast America, the Northeastern region of North America, the Indian Ocean, South Pacific Ocean.
What to do during and after the eclipse?
During Sutak and eclipse, you can chant mantras related to the moon. During the eclipse period on 28th October, after sunset, one should take a resolution to donate as per one's capacity and as per the advice of the Brahmin, and the next day after sunrise one should take a bath and donate to the Brahmin.
