Koteshwar Cave
Very few people know about the Koteshwar cave situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. If you want, you can also go here this Sawan. There is a 15 -16 feet long and 2 -6 feet high natural cave on the rock. There are many Shivalingas in this cave. There is also a life-size idol of Hanuman ji in the main temple.
Elephanta Caves
There are a total of seven caves in Elephanta. Located on an island about 7 km from Mumbai, the Elephanta Caves can only be reached by boat. These caves are believed to have been discovered by the Rashtrakuta kings around the eighth century. In these caves, the carving of Lord Shiva has been carved in many forms.
Badami Caves
Badami is a complex of Hindu and Jain cave temples located in the historic town of Bagalkot district in the northern part of Karnataka state, India. There are four caves located here, out of which three are related to Hinduism and one is from Jainism. One is dedicated to Lord Shiva and one to Jainism.
Pallava Caves
The Pallava Caves are located inside the Tiruchirappalli Rock Fort in Kerala. Not only this, it is also said that this temple was built by the Pallavas. At the same time, one of these temples is dedicated to Vishnu and the other to Lord Shiva. In such a situation, you can also visit this cave during Sawan.
Mandapeshwar Caves
There is an 8th-century rock-cut temple dedicated to Shiva located near Mount Pinsur in Borivali, a suburb of Mumbai in Maharashtra. The caves are believed to have been built around 1500 to 1600 years ago. This cave is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
