The Lohri festival is going to come soon. In such a situation, people celebrate this festival in different ways. If you also want to do something special for your guests on this special occasion, then jaggery pudding will be the best option.

Ingredients

  • a cup of semolina
  • 1 cup jaggery (soaked in water)
  • two and a half teaspoons of ghee
  • a pinch of saffron
  • Half teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 50 grams chopped pistachios
  • 50 grams chopped almonds
  • 4 teaspoons sugar/brown sugar

Method :

  • First of all, soak the semolina in water for 20 minutes and keep it aside.
  • Now heat ghee in a pan or kadhai and add semolina to it and fry it till it turns golden brown.
  • Now add jaggery water to it and mix it well. During this, keep the gas on medium flame only.
  • Now add sugar to it and mix it well and after some time add pistachios, almonds, and saffron to it.
  • When the pudding is cooked well, add cardamom powder to it.
  • Now keep cooking it till the pudding becomes thick.
  • Finally, garnish it with dry fruits and serve hot.
