What is a chat lock feature?
This feature has been named Chat Lock. Apart from locking the conversation, this feature will also store the chat in a separate folder. Along with this, it will also keep the name and message in the notification secret. Locked chats can be viewed only after a password or biometric.
Meta Company CEO Mark Zuckerberg has informed about the launch of the chat lock feature in a Facebook post and he has also written that with the new locked chat feature in WhatsApp, your conversations will become more private. He also shared that locking a chat takes that message out of the inbox and puts it behind its own folder, which can only be accessed through a device password or biometrics like a fingerprint.
How to lock chat?
First of all, you have to tap on any chat on WhatsApp. After this, you will get the option of chat lock. By clicking on it you can activate this feature. Now, to view locked chats, users need to drop down their inbox and enter their phone password or enter biometrics.
