Recently, at around 9:30 pm on Thursday, the lift of B-block in Shipra Krishna Vista Society located in Ahinsakhand-1, Indirapuram, fell from the seventh floor and got stuck between the second and third floors. Six members of the same family were injured due to its fall. However, later the security personnel of the society took the people out of the lift. Most of us use the lift daily. Therefore, you need to know about some things so that you can save yourself in case you get trapped in the lift after it malfunctions.

You should not panic in case of a lift malfunctioning. Many people start breathing heavily after getting trapped in the lift. This makes their condition even worse. During this time, you should try to keep yourself calm and others calm as well.

During this time, you should ring the alarm in the lift and wait for someone to respond. If help arrives, stay at the back of the lift. This will make it easier for emergency services to try to open the door.

If you get stuck in a lift, you should not jump into it. Many times people panic and start jumping into it. Jumping into the lift can damage its stabilizer system.

Apart from this, if you get stuck in a lift, you should not try to open the door. If the lift starts moving with the door open, the chances of people falling out of it increase significantly.
