Japan

On this day, people here hang lanterns and curtains made of paper on trees in their gardens. Later they are released into the sky. Thailand

Apart from Japan, this festival of lights is also celebrated in Thailand. However, here this festival is known as Kriondh. On this occasion, lamps are made from banana leaves, which are lit at night. Nepal

This festival is also celebrated in another neighboring country of India. Apart from India, Diwali is also celebrated in Nepal. Here this festival is celebrated as Tihar, which lasts for five days. Cow is worshiped on the first day of this festival, dog is worshiped on the second day. Whereas on the third day, sweets are prepared and gods and goddesses are worshiped and houses are decorated. Whereas, Yamraj is worshiped on the fourth day and Bhai Dooj is celebrated on the fifth day.
