The month that celebrates love with warmth is called Pride Month. Every year, on this day, there are big celebrations in different countries, in which people and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community take part. Going back in history, Pride Month started in 1969 after the Stonewall riots. On 28 June 1970, the first anniversary of the Stonewall riots, the first Pride parade began at Stonewall. 1. Sydney

This celebration in Sydney is not just for a day or two. This whole month is dedicated to LGBTQ+ events. These shows include RuPaul's Drag Race Stars Like Alaska, Drag Bingo, and A Night of Cher. In addition to the Sydney Pride Festival, it also hosts the annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras every February.

2. Berlin

Berlin is famous as the gay capital of Europe. Not only this, there is a different brightness here during Pride Month. Let us tell you that the first Pride was organized in 1979. Berlin's Pride March is a huge event, in which about one million participants participate. This festival in Berlin is known as 'Berlin CSD' or 'Berlin Christopher Street Day'.

3. Los Angeles

Pride Month is a big deal in LA. The annual LA Pride Festival and Parade features events across the city throughout June, including Pride in the Park, an outdoor concert. It is counted as the biggest event in the world and it starts in the second week of June. One of the main reasons L.A. Pride is so popular is that it was the first permitted Gay Pride parade in 1970.

Travelers to Brazil often visit Rio de Janeiro during Pride Month, but Sao Paulo's festival is home to the world's largest Pride parade. It is one of the most popular events in the city, second only to the carnival. The tradition dates back to 1997 when the event started with just 2,000 participants. It is one of the largest parades in South America and in 2006; it has also been included in the Guinness World Records due to the parade with 2.5 million people.

6. New York City

A federally recognized national monument and landmark in LGBTQ history where the famous Stonewall Inn protest broke out, New York City has been a favorite spot for Pride marches. In 2019, Manhattan also became the first city in the United States to host World Pride. This year the march will begin on June 25. Not only this, the theme of March is different every year and this year also its theme is 'Strength in Solidarity'. Various events and music and dance events are organized in this city in June.

7. San Francisco

San Francisco's place in LGBTQ history makes its annual Pride March the oldest and largest in the country. This is a two-day long festival. Started by volunteers in 1970, today about 1 million people come to watch and participate in the San Francisco Pride March.

8. Amsterdam

The Netherlands was the first country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage. In 1987, Amsterdam also unveiled a monument dedicated to LGBTQ+ people who were exploited during World War II. Thousands of people participate in this parade every year. This year, the parade will start from the Sheep wort Museum on the eastern side and go to the Amstel River.

9. Madrid

Spain was the third country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage, so you can imagine what a big deal Pride is for the European country's capital. In Spanish, this pride is called Orgullo Gay de Madrid or MADO. There are many live performances in this week-long festival. Madrid's annual Pride Festival is one of the largest celebrations in Europe. It is celebrated every year from 28 June.

10. Taipei

Taiwan has been considered a haven for LGBTQ+ people for years. In the year 2019, this small island announced the legalization of gay marriage, after which it became the first city in Asia. It is one of the biggest Pride events in Asia and people from all over the world come to participate in this 4-day event. This year the parade to be held here will complete 21 years.
