Prime Minister Narendra Modi has honored 11 lakh Lakhpati Didi in Jalgaon, Maharashtra today. During this, he said that this campaign of Lakhpati Didi Yojana will strengthen the sisters and daughters economically and will empower their entire family and future generations. The Government of India has set the objective of making about three crore women lakhpatis through this scheme. Lakhpati Didi Yojana is a special kind of skill training program for women run by the Government of India. Through this scheme, the government wants to move women forward in the direction of self-employment. This will strengthen women economically. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mentioned Lakhpati Didi Yojana many times in his speeches earlier also.
Under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, the government gives a loan of five lakh rupees to women. The special thing is that women do not have to pay any kind of interest rate on this loan. It is an interest-free loan.
If you also want to take advantage of the Lakhpati Didi scheme, then first of all you have to join a self-help group. After this, if a woman wants to start her own business, then she will have to go to the office of her regional self-help group and submit the necessary documents and her business plan.
Women from 18 to 50 years old can apply in Lakhpati Didi Yojana. Those women whose families have government jobs cannot take advantage of this scheme.
If you want to take advantage of Lakhpati Didi Yojana, then you must have some documents. To take advantage of this scheme, you must have documents like an Aadhar card, PAN card, income proof, bank passbook, passport-size photo, mobile number, etc. If you do not have these documents, then you will not get the benefit of the scheme.
