The effect of cold weather does not only fall on us, but our utensils also bear its brunt. Chef Pankaj says, 'Metal is a good conductor of heat but glass is a bad conductor. When you put something very hot in it, its inner layer gets hot, but the outer layer remains cold. That's why there are cracks in the glass.

Well, we have come to know the reason, now let's know the way to stop it from Chef Pankaj. Along with this, let us also tell you some such tips by which you can save these glass utensils from breaking further.

Take the help of a steel spoon

A steel spoon is all you need to keep your glass containers, tumblers and other utensils from cracking in the winter. Yes, there will be no chance of breaking the glass again and again.

What to do-

  • Do not pour anything right into the cup, glass or another utensil into which you are pouring the hot cheese.
  • First, place a steel spoon in the glass and then pour tea and coffee into it.
  • After this take out the spoon. Your glass will not crack like this.

Keep these tips in mind-

Keep glassware separate

Never keep your utensils together with other utensils. As you also know that glass is very delicate. Glass utensils should never be stored with your steel utensils, this also leads to cracking.

Do not put ice on glassware

Do you put ice cubes in a glass first and then pour juice or cold drinks into it? Let us tell you that doing this also makes your glassware weak. Instead, first, put juice or a cold drink in the utensils and then add ice cubes.

Put glass glasses in boiling water

You can also boil the glass in water for 10 minutes to prevent the glass from breaking. When the glass is heated evenly, it will not produce strong pressure, nor will it cause the cup to break. You can also wash the cup or glass with hot water first. Although it depends on how delicate the glass is, some materials are not suitable for boiling water.

Keep these tips in mind and now drink tea and coffee in glass cups or glasses in winter.
