Dry ginger
Dry ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that help relieve joint pain and stiffness. The anti-inflammatory compounds in dry ginger work in a similar way to COX-2 inhibitors. COX-2 inhibitors are drugs used to treat inflammation and pain.
Chronic inflammation is attributed to the pain around the affected joints in arthritis patients. This causes extreme distress which also affects movement. Thus, the main goal of arthritis treatment is to reduce discomfort as there is currently no cure for arthritis.
Dry ginger is mainly used to reduce this pain and discomfort.
Makhane
Makhana maintains the calcium level in the body. According to Ayurveda, Osteoarthritis is caused due to aggravation of Vatadosha and is known as Sandhivata. This causes pain, swelling and immobility of the joints. Makhana has vata-balancing properties and provides relief from osteoarthritis symptoms such as joint pain and swelling.
Roasted chickpeas
Roasted gram contains Vitamin K which helps in the absorption of calcium in the body and reduces joint pain. The huge stores of calcium and magnesium in grams ensure the intake of essential nutrients important for increasing bone density and improving the flexibility of joints.

Dried dates
Dry dates are the best source of Vitamin C and D which boost collagen production and increase elasticity. Dates are also high in magnesium and have anti-inflammatory properties, which makes them an ideal choice for people with arthritis. Apart from this, they are rich in vitamins, minerals, fibre, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron and other nutrients.
Celery
Ajwain, which is rich in Vitamin K, helps in reducing pain and inflammation by relaxing the muscles of the joints. Due to the presence of anti-inflammatory compounds, ajwain is one of the best natural ways to relieve pain caused by arthritis and is effective in relaxing muscles.
It has anaesthetic properties that help reduce the pain and swelling seen in people with arthritis.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon contains cinnamic acid which reduces pain and swelling in the joints. Cinnamon contains chemical compounds known as cinnamaldehyde and cinnamic acid. These compounds are associated with reducing joint pain. Research has shown some promising results with cinnamon in reducing inflammation and oxidative stress.
