Jaipur Literary Festival: A two-day literary festival will be celebrated in Rajasthan's Jaipur from February 19, which will bring together writers from across the country. Prabha Khaitan Foundation and Rajasthan Tourism Department are going to jointly organize this event named “Shahrnama Kahani: Apne Shahro”. Rajasthan Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh on Wednesday announced that the festival will feature writers who have written about historical cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Delhi, Pushkar, Bhopal, and Lucknow.

The minister said, "They will discuss their life experiences, folk tales, heritage, literature, cuisine, and the importance of the past ages and megaliths." He further said that the ministry is dedicated to promoting the tourism industry and several initiatives are being taken to support traditional artists. According to festival co-directors Neelima Dalmia and Apara Kuchhal, there will be over 20 seminars during the two-day festival.

During the program, the authors will talk about their memories, stories, art and culture, food, ancient significance, and ancient buildings. Singh said that people from different cities across the country would connect and no city would feel alien to them. He said that we are taking several steps for the upliftment of folk artists, adding that the state government is committed to the development of tourism.

Principal Secretary of, the Tourism Department, Gayatri Rathore said that the government is engaged in preserving the folk culture, heritage, and traditions. The state government's focus is on improving the economic condition of folk artists, so in the latest budget arrangements have been made to provide them employment for at least 100 days a year.
