Why is tap water not safe?

Bacteria and germs

Tap water may contain bacteria and germs, consumption of which may cause problems like cholera and typhoid. Pesticides and insecticides are also present in it, which is not at all good for health.

Chlorine

Chlorine is added to water to make it clean and clear. In such a situation, by drinking tap water, these chemicals can enter your body due to which you may suffer from nausea, vomiting and dizziness.

Mercury and lead

Tap water contains heavy metals like mercury and lead which are very dangerous for health. Old dilapidated water pipes cause lead to leach into the water, which can hurt your health.

Children are most adversely affected. Learning ability is affected. If pregnant women consume this water, the IQ of the child may decrease. This can cause premature birth.

Pesticides and Insecticides

Pesticides are used in fields to kill insects that damage crops, and when it rains, these pesticides seep into the soil or flow into rivers and lakes during rains. In this way, if this water reaches your house and you consume it, it can cause many types of cancer and liver diseases.
