Ayurveda's opinion on sleeping immediately after eating

If you go to sleep immediately after eating in the afternoon, it can increase kapha (water element) and meda (fat) in the body. This can also weaken your metabolism, due to which food is not digested properly. Sleeping immediately after eating can lead to obesity, diabetes, cholesterol and many other problems related to digestion and lifestyle. Therefore it should be avoided.

For whom is it good to sleep during the day?

Ayurveda says that 48 minutes of sleep can be taken in the afternoon. It is perfect for children, the elderly and people who do a lot of physical work. Those who have not eaten food in the afternoon, or whose sleep is not complete at night, can sleep during the day.

According to Ayurveda do this work after eating

According to Ayurveda, you should sit in Vajrasana immediately after eating. Do Vajrasana for 5-10 minutes. This increases blood flow to the stomach and metabolism is healthy. Due to this problems related to digestion like bloating, acidity, constipation etc. are prevented. After this, you should walk 100 steps. After that, if you want, you can take a nap for some time. While taking a nap, lie in the left position. Give your body rest by lying down for just a few minutes instead of sleeping. This will be beneficial.
