Every child knows that India did not get this independence as a gift. Many of our brave sons sacrificed their lives for this. Many names like Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Sukhdev, and Rajguru are included in this list, but it does not mean at all that women were behind in this.

Women freedom fighters have also played a special role in getting rid of the British, and history is a witness to this. One such woman was Durgavati, who is also known as Durga Bhabhi. Even the British were afraid of his name. So let's know about this...

Very few people know the pistol with which Chandra Shekhar Azad shot himself. Durgavati had sacrificed herself with the same pistol. On the other hand, Durga Bhabhi is also called the Iron Lady of India.

Durga Bhabhi came into the limelight on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the martyrdom of Kartar Singh Sarabhi on 16 November 1926 in Lahore. Then she also became the main ally of the Sangram fighters. After Lala Lajpat Rai's death, Bhagat Singh had planned to assassinate Saunders.

At that time, Durga Bhabhi herself had sent Bhagat Singh and his other companions after vaccinating them. After this murder, the British went after him, and then to save him, Durga Bhabhi left the city in disguise with Bhagat Singh. At the same time, Durgavati had also learned how to make bombs.
