A new feature is coming to the Meta-owned Instagram app. According to the report, Instagram is working on a new feature named Friend Map. It is very much like Snap Map.
Instagram users will be able to see the location of users with the help of this feature, however, for this, they will have to share their location with friends. Even if a friend posts something with a location, his location will be visible.
Mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi has claimed this in a post. He has also shared many screenshots of the new feature. With the help of Friends Map, you will also be able to find your friends.
This feature of Instagram will look similar to the note feature seen in its direct messages. According to the leaked report, users can use the map features with three different features which include Stories, Notes, and Notes on Map.
Friends Map can also be shared with close friends and according to the report, this location data will be end-to-end encrypted. A screenshot of the new feature has also been revealed. The Friends Map feature can be used both privately and publicly.
