However, recently Meta has introduced new privacy controls in the Accounts Center section of Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. This will give users more control over the data.

You can also clear past data and turn off future web activity tracking.
How to block Instagram from tracking your web activity:
Many times you might have felt that you see the same ads on Instagram that you search for while online. Till now you did not have much control over these ads. But, now through the new feature of Meta, you are being offered some control over your web data. You may not see this feature. So first you have to update the app. Let us know the step-by-step method to stop web activity tracking.
First of all open the Instagram app.
After this, go to the profile by tapping on the profile picture from the bottom right.
After this, tap on the three horizontal lines from the top right of your profile and then select Settings and Privacy from the menu.
After this, you will have to select Accounts Center from the first screen.
After this, you will have to select Your Information and Permissions and then tap on Your Activity off the Meta Technologies option.
Here you will see options for recent activity, disconnect specific app activity, clear previous data, and manage future activity.
Out of these, if you go inside Manage Future Activity and select Disconnect Future Activity. Then the previous activity will be deleted. Additionally, Instagram will not get information about interactions with businesses and organizations.
What will actually happen is that when you use other apps or the phone's browser, they collect data about you. This data is usually sold to Meta and linked to your Instagram profile. In such a situation you see personalized ads. Some like it. But, some also worry about their privacy. So you can use this feature.
