Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced this feature on August 11. Giving information, he said that we are looking for a way to tag a group of people together in a single mention in a story. Anyone in the group will be able to use that group mention and tag in stories from their profile in the future.
Tagging is as easy as creating a group
That is, the company is working to create a single tag for group members so that people of group members can be tagged in a single tap. Adam Mosseri said that if you're on a summer trip with friends, you can easily add everyone to a group instead of tagging each person separately.
