Age limit to get a job in the Indian Merchant Navy

For candidates who are thinking of getting a job in an Indian Merchant Navy post, their minimum age should be 17.5 years and the maximum age should be 27 years.

Deck Rating – Must have passed class 12th from any recognized board or institute.

Engine Rating- Candidates should have passed class 10th from any recognized board or institute.

Seaman- 10th pass candidates can apply for these posts.

Electrician – 10th + ITI Electrician pass can also apply for these posts.

Welder/Helper – Candidates having a 10th + ITI certificate can apply for these posts.

Mess Boy and Cook – Candidates applying for these posts must have passed class 10th from any recognized board.
