Indian Army Day is celebrated across the country every year on 15 January. On this day in 1949, Field Marshal KM Cariappa took over the command of the Indian Army from Francis Butcher. Francis Butcher was the last British Commander in Chief of India. After independence, the Indian Army has fought many wars. Along with the changing environment of the times, the Indian Army has also modernized. Since independence, the Indian Army has developed in a modern and versatile manner. Indian Army is playing an important role in protecting the integrity of India. It is a world-class army with modern weapons and technology. According to the Global Firepower Report of the year 2023, the Indian Army is counted among the fourth largest army in the world.

According to media reports, there are about 14 lakh active soldiers in the Indian Army. There are about 25,27,000 soldiers in the paramilitary force. Not only this, India has about 160 nuclear weapons.

Apart from this, India has a stock of ballistic missiles. This includes ballistic missiles of the Agni series and, the Prithvi series. We also have cruise missiles like BrahMos, and Nirbhay (subsonic). With multiple launch rocket systems and launcher rocket systems, India also can launch nuclear attacks from land, air, and sea, which gives us strength at the global level.

Apart from all this, aircraft like Tejas, Mirage, Sukhoi, MiG, Rafale, and Globemaster are also included in the Indian Army's squad. The Indian Army has thousands of armored vehicles. The Indian Army is constantly making efforts to modernize weapons and equipment with time.

Now the world has entered the fourth industrial revolution of Artificial Intelligence. In such a situation, how can Artificial Intelligence be used in the Indian Army? Plans are also being made after discussions regarding this.
