For example, this time Indian Railways has made arrangements for cheap food and drinking water for the passengers traveling by general coach at 64 stations in the country in front of their coach. What is the facility and who will get it?
The Railways have made arrangements for cheap food and drink for the passengers of the general coach. This will ensure that the passengers traveling in these coaches will not have to go astray. For this, Railways has started economy meal stall.

These economy stalls will be placed in front of the general coach only. Where the passengers will be able to buy a full meal for Rs 20 and at the same time they will be able to take water for drinking only Rs 3. At present, this facility has been started on a trial basis of 6 months.

What will happen in an economy meal?
Meal Type 1 - Poori, Vegetable, and Pickle for Rs.20
Meal Type 2 - Snack Meal (350g) for Rs.50
For these 50 rupees, you can also take Rajma-rice, Khichdi, Chole-Kulche, Chole-Bhature, Pavbhaji, or Masala Dosa.
At the same time, 200 ml packaged sealed water glasses will be available to the passengers for Rs 3.

Presently the facility has started at these stations:-
Northern Zone
Phulera, Ajmer, Rewari, Abu Road, Jaipur, Alwar, Udaipur and Mathura.

Eastern Zone
Durgapur, Asansol, Sealdah, Madhupur, Jasidih, Balasore, Kharagpur, Hijli, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, Katihar, New Tinsukia, Kamakhya, Dhanbad, Raxaul, Samastipur, Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Kiul, Buxar, Mokama, Bakhtiyarpur, Tatanagar, Jharsuguda and Ranchi.

South Central Zone
Bilaspur, Raipur, and Godian.

West zone
Cheap Thali is available at 15 stations including Satna, Pipariya, Nagpur, Pune, Khandwa Rajkot, and Surendranagar railway stations
At the same time, economy meal service has also started at nine stations of South Zone.
