Usually, the name of the payment company or UPI is written on a QR code. There is no name on the fake QR code. Before making a payment scan any QR code first with a QR code scanner or Google lens.
This will let you know where the URL of the code is redirecting you. Do not pay if the scanner is taking you to another site. Pay only after the confirmation. Fraudulent QR codes are often sent on WhatsApp.
