Heat the oil lightly and massage the head thoroughly. Leave it for an hour before washing your hair. You can also leave it overnight for better conditioning. According to DrDeekshaBhavsar, 'According to your hair type, hair oiling should be done once/twice/thrice a week.'

  • Base of hair oil- Sesame
  • Twice-pitta hair (oily scalp, grey hair)
  • Hair oil base- coconut, ghee
  • Thrice - Vata Hair (dry, thin, frizzy, split ends)
  • Hair oil base- almond, sesame, castor

Recipe number 3: Regular Nasya

Applying Ghee/Anu oil in both nostrils in the morning or at bedtime leads to hair growth and sound sleep which is another essential thing for hair growth.

Furthermore, when the medicinal herbal formula is taken through the nostrils, it flows to reach the membranes of the brain. It stimulates the nerves connecting the scalp and brain, which helps in improving the quality of hair follicles.
