The next day, drain the excess water from the millet by placing a strainer in a vessel. After this, take a pressure cooker and put the soaked millet in it. After this add moong dal and two cups of water. Finally, add some salt, cover the cooker with a lid, and cook for 4-5 whistles.
After the whistles, turn off the gas and leave the cooker to cool down. After some time, when the pressure of the cooker is completely released, open the lid. Now take a deep-bottomed pan, add ghee to it, and heat it on medium flame. After the ghee melts, add cumin, turmeric and a pinch of asafoetida and fry for some time. When cumin starts crackling, add boiled millet and moong dal in the pan and mix well.
