Cardiorespiratory Arrest: Well-known businessman and founder and chairman of 'Sahara Group' Subrata Roy passed away yesterday i.e. on 14 November 2023 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He was 75 years old.
Subrata Roy has been suffering from many diseases for a long time. He had many problems like metastatic malignancy, hypertension, and diabetes. On 12 November 2023, his health suddenly started deteriorating, when he was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, where he died a few hours later.
What is cardiorespiratory arrest?
Cardiorespiratory arrest is a serious condition in which the heart and lungs do not function properly. There can be many reasons for this, such as heart disease, breathing problems, or any other medical conditions.
Dr. Vijay Kumar, Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals said that the main cause of cardiorespiratory arrest is problems in heart function. But in this, along with the heart, the lungs also stop working. Oxygen is also supplied to every organ and cell in the body through blood circulation and when this is not done properly, they stop working.
