In today's fast-paced world, there are very few people who give importance to keeping their slip cycle well maintained. Scrolling social media at night, studying till late affects the sleep cycle. It has been shown in so many studies that compromising the sleep cycle is harmful for health, yet most people are not able to pay much attention to completing their sleep on time.
What do experts say?
According to experts, a healthy person should take 7-8 hours of sleep every day, this keeps both mental health and physical health healthy. Research has shown many times that sleeping on time and getting complete sleep brings positive changes in the energy level and also makes one feel mentally healthy. Studies have also shown that spoiling the sleep pattern increases the risk of depression and stress.
If slip cycle is getting affected daily then its effect is mental as well as physical. For example-
The risk of obesity increases.
Sleeping late reduces the level of leptin (appetite reducing) hormone in the body and the level of ghrelin (appetite enhancing) hormone starts increasing. This increases the habit of overeating and increases the risk of obesity.
The digestive system may get damaged.
Eating late at night and not being able to sleep early can cause the digestive system to not function properly. This can cause problems like acidity, constipation, and flatulence.
The risk of diabetes increases.
Sleeping late can reduce insulin in the body, which can increase the blood sugar level and increase the risk of diabetes.
The risk of heart disease increases.
Sleeping after midnight increases blood pressure and heart rate, due to which the risk of heart disease also increases.
Sleeping late at night may be very exciting, but when it becomes a daily habit and continues till after midnight, it can cause serious harm to health.
