ICMR Study on Heart Attack Cases: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday, citing a study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), said that people who had previously suffered from severe COVID-19 infection are more likely to suffer from heart attack. To prevent seizures, one should not work out excessively for about one or two years. Several people have died in Gujarat recently due to heart-related problems, including one that occurred while playing 'Garba' during the Navratri festival. After this, State Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel held a meeting with medical experts including 'cardiologists'.
Experts' investigation continues
Patel asked experts to collect data on deaths to find out the causes and treatment. Union Minister Mandaviya told reporters, 'ICMR has done a detailed study. According to this study, those people who had previously suffered from severe COVID-19 infection should not work excessively hard. They (previously infected people) should stay away from rigorous exercise, running, and workouts for one or two years to avoid a heart attack.
Unfortunate incidents occurred during Garba
Uttar Pradesh Governor and former Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel had recently expressed concern over this issue during her visit to the state. Earlier in a study, it was said that due to coronavirus infection, the immunity of the youth is weakening, as a result of which youth below 35 years of age are facing problems related to BP, sugar, liver, and heart attack.
At the same time, some doctors believed that the blood vessels of the patients of the second wave of Corona had shrunk. Many changes are being seen in it, due to which endothelium is getting damaged. In such a situation, the problem of blood clotting increases in the patient, which causes a heart attack. The second reason is that many youths are smoking too much, due to which they are becoming victims of high blood pressure, diabetes, sugar and heart-related diseases. The third reason in such tragic cases is considered to be pollution. Due to pollution, the number of heart patients is also increasing rapidly.
