World Stuttering Awareness Day 2023: International Stuttering Awareness Day is celebrated every year on 22 October to make people aware of stuttering. 1.5% of people worldwide are victims of stammering. Due to this problem, people have to face embarrassment. Due to this people can also become victims of many types of mental problems. Keeping this challenge in mind, a celebration of this day was started so that people can be made aware and people struggling with the problem of stuttering can be helped.
International Stuttering Awareness Day History
International Stuttering Awareness Day was first observed in 1998. People used to harass people suffering from the problem of stammering even more, so considering it as an issue of serious social concern, it was decided to raise it at the international level. The campaign has been launched under the auspices of the International Stuttering Association, the International Fluency Association, and the European League of Stuttering Associations.

The purpose of celebrating this day is to make people aware and educated about stammering. Many times people keep harassing such a person without thinking what kind of effect it can have on their mind. The confidence of people suffering from stuttering falls further.
