Gene scientists at Banaras Hindu University ie BHU have done wonders. Through gene therapy, experts have ended the desolation of mothers' laps. Genetics scientists of BHU's Center for Genetic Disorders have found success in this after research and the woman who had natural abortion six times in the womb has now given birth to a child for the seventh time.
In fact, in the BHU hospital, the empty wombs of four women were full, but due to natural abortion, the cries could not resonate in their homes. There were different types of problems in the child growing in the womb of different women, due to which their child got spoiled in the womb even before birth. Women kept wandering in the hospital for the echo of Kilkaris in the empty womb, but their disease could not be cured.
During treatment, all four pregnant women were sent to the Center for Genetic Disorders. Experts in the center took samples of the genes of all the women and then sequenced them. When the results came, it was found that there has been a mutation in the gene receptor, due to which the children are being deficient in folic acid and vitamin B-12. Apart from this, the protein is also not being prepared. Because of this, she is getting a natural abortion.
Treatment with gene therapy
Genetics expert Dr. Akhtar Ali said that this problem of these women was eradicated from the root through gene therapy, after which they gave birth to a healthy child. Let us tell you that for every 1,000 births in India, two children die in the womb itself. It can be prevented and reduced by getting folic acid, and vitamins checked before pregnancy.
Dr. Ali said that a folic acid test must be done within three months of pregnancy. Many times it happens that due to its deficiency, there is a problem in the spinal cord and head of the child in the womb and the body part is not able to develop. This causes such a problem.
