If there is any pandemic more dangerous than COVID-19, it is the sitting pandemic. It has engulfed more than half of the working population. Do you know what a sitting pandemic is?

What does the sitting pandemic mean?
When you sit in the same posture for 8 hours or more, you are opening yourself up to a number of diseases. Your work tells you to work for 8 hours but your body is not ready for such torture.

Still, if a job has to be done for 8 hours, then not much change can be made in this activity. But still, you can take some steps to prevent these effects like:

Take a walk: Get up every now and then and walk a few steps. Walk for at least 5 minutes every hour. By doing this you can control both your blood pressure and sugar.

Sit properly: Sitting with your stomach exposed, your neck bent continuously or sitting with your legs crossed can increase the problem manifold. Maintain correct sitting posture. Sit with your back straight and both feet on the ground. When you get tired of this posture, get up and walk a little. But don't sit in the wrong way.

Stretch: Keep stretching your neck, fingers, hands and back every now and then, so that the muscles remain flexible and do not get jammed and then there is no tingling or burning sensation anywhere in the body.

Relax by closing your eyes: Relax your eyes and mind by closing your eyes for a few seconds or minutes every hour. This also provides mental peace and the mind becomes ready to concentrate again. Besides, by constantly looking alert, tired eyes also get rest.

Do exercise: Choose some exercises daily as per the instructions of an expert so that all the problems started due to sitting can be cured without medicine. The aim should be that the problem does not arise.
