This research was done by researchers from Britain's University of Reading in collaboration with Italian scientists. This research was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. However, this is not the first time that any research has found a direct relationship between apple and cholesterol. Earlier in the year 2011, research was done by scientists of Florida State University of USA. It was revealed that by eating 2 apples daily, bad cholesterol i.e. low density lipoprotein (LDL) level can be reduced by 40 percent. Similar facts were also revealed in the research of Ohio University in the year 2012.
The special thing is that eating apple daily can also relieve the problem of constipation. Apple contains plenty of fiber.
