Roti-Making Process: Roti is a part of people's diet. In North India, people's stomach is not filled without roti. In some regions, roti is also known as chapati. Whereas, it is called English bread. Breadmaking is a common process. The flour is kneaded in water and kept. Later, after baking it on a griddle and then directly on the flame, puffed roti is prepared. But do you know how dangerous bread becomes for health after passing through so many processes? Especially baking it on direct flame makes it injurious to health. This has also been revealed in a study.
This came to the fore in the new study
A research was published in the Journal of Environmental Science and Technology. According to research, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and fine particles are released from natural gas stoves and gas stoves. All these particles are dangerous for the body. These pollutants can cause respiratory problems, heart diseases and even cancer. Apart from this, another study has been published in Nutrition and Cancer Journal. In this, it was told that carcinogens are produced when food is cooked on high flame. These are also not considered correct for different organs of the body.
The old study also agreed it is not safe to bake
A report was published in the year 2011 by Dr Paul Brent, Chief Scientist of Food Standards Australia and New Zealand. As per reports, whenever the bread comes in contact with direct flame. A chemical called acrylamide was produced from this and toast was made. But experts say that wheat flour also contains natural sugar and protein. Produces carcinogenic chemicals when heated. Its consumption is not considered safe.
Then what to do?
Experts say that some more studies should come out now. Only then the picture will be completely clear. However, roti should not be baked on a high flame at all. Due to this, carbonized particles and toxic elements go into the body.
