According to doctors, the room temperature should be kept at 18.3 degree Celsius for restful sleep. You can keep it a little less or a little more according to your convenience. Still, most doctors believe that keeping the room temperature in the range of 15.6 to 19.4 degrees Celsius is the best level for deep sleep. This will give the most comfortable feel to your body. Our body gets used to the drop in normal temperature after evening. Therefore, by reducing the temperature of the room from the outside temperature, you can give a message to your body that it is time to sleep.

How much to keep the temperature in the children's room?
Very young children feel cold more. Therefore, it is better to keep the temperature of their room one to two degree Celsius higher in summer. In simple words, if the temperature of their room is kept at 20.5 degrees Celsius, then they will get restful sleep and they will feel better when they wake up. Their body is quite small and developing. Their body is more sensitive to the temperature around them than the elders. On the other hand, if the room temperature of young children is too hot, then the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome increases. Therefore, doctors advise keeping the temperature of their room correctly.

How to know if children are feeling hot?
Doctors say that very young children should be avoided to sleep in heavy blankets or quilts. They should wear such clothes so that their body temperature remains constant. Parents should check whether their body temperature is not rising by touching the abdomen and back of the neck of the children while sleeping. According to various research, babies become mature in terms of temperature by the age of 11 weeks. By this age, like adults, their normal body temperature reaches 97.5°F i.e. 36.4°C within 4 hours of sleeping.
