When does the hajj pilgrimage start
According to the Islamic lunar calendar, the Haj pilgrimage begins on the 8th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth and last month. This year Haj pilgrimage is starting on the 26th of June and will continue till the 1st of July. In the last 2 years, due to Corona, many restrictions were imposed on the Haj pilgrimage. Last year, Saudi Arabia banned foreign pilgrims from the Hajj pilgrimage, although the Hajj pilgrimage went on symbolically in Mecca and Medina. These restrictions have been lifted in Saudi Arabia this year.

Important things for Haj application
If you are applying for the Haj pilgrimage, then it is mandatory to have an approved Covid 19 vaccine dose. Also, the applicant must have a passport. The latest passport-size photograph with white background, a copy of the canceled check, and a copy of proof of address must be uploaded along with the application.

Who can go for Haj?
This year the VIP quota for the Haj pilgrimage has been abolished. Priority will be given to Haj pilgrims above 70 years of age. Along with this, care will also be taken to make the Haj pilgrimage as affordable as possible.
