Do you feel any changes in your body as you age? Your stamina may have decreased, or you are feeling a lot of trouble, or have gas and stomach problems, but one thing that is seen in common is that as you get older, your density of the hair starts decreasing.

This means that your hair starts thinning. The scalp becomes visible, as well as fizziness comes into your hair and it does not set properly. This is not a problem for one, but for many people. Do many people think that their hair is falling out because of heredity, but is it so?

Talking about age-related hair fall, Dr Jayshree Sharad, FAAD Board Certified Dermatologist and Founder of Skin Infinity by Jayshree and author of several books, shared the information on her Instagram account.

These changes come in the hair with age

According to Dr Jayshree, there are three types of changes in hair with age and it is not only related to hair thinning but you will also understand a lot of differences in the quality of hair.

  • Hair thinning is the biggest problem with ageing.
  • Another problem that comes along with ageing is hair becoming frizzy and curly along with greying. If your hair was already a bit straight, it will start to get a little frizzy.
  • The length of the hair will also start decreasing and with the loss of hair, the hair below will become very rough and dry.

What is the reason for this?

The reason for this is simple, as we age, our hair follicles produce less melanin and the colour starts flying from the hair. Due to this, they become grey and hair follicles also start decreasing and in this case, there is thinning of hair. Other factors that lead to the early ageing of hair is stress, poor diet, smoking, environmental factors and various types of hair treatments.

In some cases, hormonal imbalance can also be the reason as well as lack of nutrition can also be a big problem.

What is its treatment?

First of all, you have to accept your growing age. If you do not do this then you will have a lot of problems seeing your hair falling. Another way is to talk to a dermatologist about your hair. If you are having this problem then, first of all, you have to know the reason for it.

  • First of all, know the reason for hair thinning, for this you can check your hormonal level etc. by doing a blood test.
  • If there is any nutritional deficiency in you, then check it. Be sure to check your haemoglobin, vitamin D3 and vitamin B12.
  • In your diet, you have to use vitamins A, B, C, D, and E as well as magnesium, selenium and iron.
  • Stay away from stress.
