In the film Hera Pheri, Paresh Rawal says to Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar in a scene. 'Whenever God gives, he gives in abundance.' This saying came true on Wednesday for a laborer working in a mine in Panna, Madhya Pradesh. A labourer named Raju Gaur found a 19.22-carat diamond in Panna's diamond mine.
Raju Gaur immediately deposited this diamond with the government officials. Government officials will now auction this diamond. According to the officials' estimate, the price of this diamond in the auction can be 80 lakhs or more. Now people are having questions. In this way, if someone finds a diamond or any other treasure, then who has the right to it?
The finder gets money
Panna in Madhya Pradesh is a very famous place for diamonds. Diamond work has been going on here for about 300 years. Before independence, diamond mines were run under the supervision of the royal family. Now this responsibility is on the administration. Anyone can lease land in Panna to search for diamonds by paying Rs 250. For this, permission has to be taken from the diamond office of Panna.
And during this time, if a laborer finds a diamond in a mine, then he has the right over it. However, tax and government royalty have to be paid on that amount. After that, whatever amount is left, goes to the share of the laborer who found it. The amount of diamond worth 80 lakhs that the laborer has found in Panna will be given to the laborer only.
How much money will be received out of 80 lakhs?
People are wondering how much money will laborer Raju Gaur get out of the diamond worth 80 lakhs. So let us tell you that whatever the price of the diamond, a 30% income tax has to be paid on it. So after that 12% royalty has to be paid. Out of the diamond worth Rs 80 lakh, Rs 24 lakh will be deducted as income tax and Rs 10 lakh as royalty. This means that out of 80 lakh, diamond finder Raju God will get Rs 46 lakh. Let us tell you that there is a diamond reserve of more than 12 lakh carats in the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh.
