You can make gourd barfi at home with an easy method. Let's know its recipe.

Material :
1 kg bottle gourd, 1/2 cup milk, 3/4 cup milk powder, 1 cup grated coconut, 2 tbsp ghee, 3/4 cup sugar, food color

Method :
First of all, peel the gourd and grate it.

Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan, add a grated bottle of gourd, and fry for 5-6 minutes or till it becomes soft.

Now add 2 cups of milk and cook for 20-22 minutes.

Add sugar and green food color, and cook for a few minutes or till the sugar dissolves completely.

Heat 1 tbsp ghee in another pan. Add 1.5 cups milk and let it boil. Add grated coconut and mix.

Cook for 8-10 minutes or till the mixture thickens.

Add the thick coconut mixture to the bottle gourd mixture.

Keep on medium flame and cook for 8-10 more minutes.

Now put the barfi mixture in a mold and smooth it. Let it set for 3-4 hours or till it takes the right shape.

Cut the slab into square or rectangular burfis and serve.
