Tech giant Google has announced that the company can use its generative AI capabilities i.e. chatbot Bard with its apps and services. The company recently introduced generative AI capabilities in search, which can be seen as the company testing an AI chatbot. The company has now announced that it is rolling out similar capabilities to other Google apps and services, including Gmail, Docs, Drive, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Flights. For this, Google has launched the Bard extension.

Bard support will be available on Google service
Google has introduced its AI chatbot Bard just a few months ago. Bard is Google's most powerful AI model so far, which the company is preparing to integrate with all services. The company says that based on the input text query from Bard Integrated, data can be taken from them as and when required. The company said that Bard is getting better at customizing its responses.

Bard extension launched
Google has launched the Bard extension that will allow it to find and show relevant information from Google tools including Gmail, Docs, Drive, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Flights & Hotels. This feature is currently available in English.

What will be the benefit to the users?
The company has given detailed information about the new announcement. For example, if you're planning a trip to Las Vegas, you may need travel dates, maps, and videos. In such a situation, the 'updated' Bard will search for important data in all these services, find the answer, and display it. It will respond to the needs of the users. BARD will also be able to pull data and provide information about hotels and flights.

While working in Drive, users can also set Bard to search for a specific file. For example, you will be able to give it commands like searching for a resume prepared in September 2022 and creating it in one short paragraph of personal information.

Users data will remain safe
Google says the data used will not be accessed by human reviewers nor used by Bard to serve ads or train Bard models. Users also have the option to decide how they want to use these extensions or turn them off at any time. That means users can also turn off the Bard extension.

Improvements in 'Google it' button
Google introduced a 'Google it' button to allow cross-checking the responses given by the bard. Now even more improvements have been made in it. Users can now double-check their answers more easily using the button. Users have to click on the 'G' icon and Bard will read the response and evaluate whether the content is there on the web to verify it or not. Users will also be able to highlight evaluated statements and click on phrases.
